Meta Capri is a cat-eye style of smart glasses in the Meta Glasses line from Meta Platforms. Meta announced the Capri, together with a second new frame shape called Meta Nova, at Meta Connect 2026 on 23 September 2026, describing the pair as additional frame shapes intended "to fit even more faces comfortably."[2][3] Like the rest of the line, it is a pair of AI glasses with a built-in camera, open-ear audio and the Meta AI assistant.[1]
The standard Capri starts at US$299 on Meta's US online store, with higher prices for polarized and Transitions lens options. A Meta Capri LISA Edition, designed with LISA, costs US$399.[1][3] The frame joined the three styles with which Meta and EssilorLuxottica launched the Meta Glasses line on 23 June 2026: Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury and Starfire, a slim oval frame designed with Kylie Jenner.[4][5]
Announcement and release
Meta introduced the Meta Glasses line in June 2026 at a starting price of US$299.[4] In its Connect 2026 newsroom post, the company said it had launched Meta Glasses "in partnership with EssilorLuxottica" earlier in the year and was "expanding the collection with two new styles, Capri and Nova."[3] Gizmodo reported the pair as two new style options for Meta's first-party glasses, and The Next Web described the Capri as a cat-eye frame and the Nova as a classic Pantos.[6][7]
The Capri was announced alongside other changes to the line. A cheaper Meta Adventurer configuration with a black frame, grey lenses and a plug-in charging case was priced at US$249, with pre-orders opening that day and sales starting on 23 October 2026. A limited-edition Meta Fury with a clear frame and mirrored lenses was to be sold only at Connect and at Meta Lab stores at launch.[3][8] Meta did not give a separate on-sale date for the Capri in its announcement. As of 25 September 2026, Meta's US store listed each standard Capri configuration and the LISA Edition as in stock rather than as a pre-order product.[1]
At the same event, Meta added Zena, a separate cat-eye frame, to the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) range. Zena belongs to the Ray-Ban Meta line and is a different product from the Meta-branded Capri.[3][8]
Design and hardware
Meta's store describes the Capri as having "a bold cat-eye frame with a fashion-forward look."[1] The standard model is sold in a standard frame size with a high-bridge fit. Frame colors are Espresso Tortoise, Classic Black and Crimson, paired with clear, grey, polarized brown, polarized chocolate, or clear-to-grey Transitions lenses. Each pair ships with a Meta charging case.[1]
Meta lists a 12 MP camera, 3K video and open-ear audio for the Capri, and says wearers can use their voice to get answers from Meta AI, capture memories, make calls, send messages and listen to music.[1] MIXED's report on the expanded line noted that Meta Glasses can capture photos and video hands-free at up to 3K resolution, play Spotify, answer questions and provide spoken translation in more than 20 languages.[5]

LISA Edition
The Meta Capri LISA Edition is one of two styles in a Meta Glasses collection designed with LISA, whom Engadget and Gizmodo identified as a member of the K-pop group Blackpink.[10][6] Meta describes it as "an Eclipse cat-eye frame with grey lenses"; the other style is the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition, with a Moonlit Sky frame and Blush lenses. Both support prescriptions and start at US$399.[3]
According to Meta, the collection has a custom star on the case and frames, special edition case charms inspired by LISA's pets, and digital photocards that owners unlock with the glasses.[3] The store sells the Capri version as "Meta Capri LISA Edition Eclipse Grey Lenses and Case Charm."[1][9]
Availability
Meta said at Connect 2026 that it was bringing Meta Glasses to Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates from 23 September 2026, with Brazil to follow.[3][10] The company also said any pair of Meta Glasses could be customized through its Mix & Match program, in which buyers choose the frame, lenses and case color at a Meta Lab store or online.[3] In the same announcement, Meta said it was bringing Muse, its personal AI agent, to its AI glasses.[3]
