ZyberVR is a Chinese consumer electronics brand that designs and sells third-party accessories for Virtual Reality headsets. Its catalog covers comfort upgrades such as replacement head straps and face covers, controller grips and game extensions, charging docks, power banks and cables, carrying cases, and prescription lens inserts, aimed mainly at standalone headsets including the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest Pro, PICO 4, and Sony's PlayStation VR2.[1][2] The company markets itself under the slogan "VR Accessories Going Pro" and describes itself as "a group of enthusiasts who love VR hardware" working to build a full-category VR accessory brand.[1][2]

The brand is operated by Beijing Weikuai Technology Co., Ltd., a company based in the Haidian District of Beijing, which is also the listed applicant for the ZYBERVR trademark in the United States.[3][4] ZyberVR products are sold through the company's own online store and through resellers and marketplaces such as Amazon, and the company runs a trade partner program for retailers and distributors.[1][2]

History

ZyberVR emerged as part of the wave of third-party accessory makers that grew up around Meta's standalone Quest headsets. The brand was already active and shipping products by late 2022: a December 2022 hands-on review of its 3-in-1 fitness handles for the Meta Quest 2 reported that the company had at that point exported its accessories to more than 20 countries and served around 80,000 customers, with a lineup then covering the Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and PICO 4.[5]

As new headsets launched, ZyberVR expanded its range to match them. By 2023 the company was selling comfort kits, battery packs, and tracking lights for the PICO 4,[6] and after the Meta Quest 3 arrived in late 2023 it released a set of Quest 3 specific straps, grips, and docks. Reviewers noted that the brand "jumped into action quickly" to produce Quest 3 accessories soon after the headset shipped.[7] The company's self-reported scale grew accordingly: its corporate "About" page later cited exports to more than 30 countries and 100,000 customers, while its storefront described "over 500k happy users around the world."[1][2]

Products

ZyberVR groups its catalog into broad categories: upgraded comfort (head straps, face covers, and grips), charging and cables (charging docks, power banks, and link cables), game extensions (controller grips, extension sticks, and infrared tracking lights), and cases and organizers. It also sells magnetic prescription lens inserts for users who wear glasses.[1][2][8]

A recurring feature of the lineup is the modular controller "stick" or "handle," which attaches to a headset's motion controllers and can be reconfigured into multiple shapes: short grips, a single long handle for golf or tennis style swings, or a pair of extended rods for rhythm and fitness titles such as Beat Saber.[7][5] The head straps are the brand's best-known products and are sold both as simple comfort replacements and as battery straps that add a rear cell to extend play time and rebalance the headset.[9]

Reception

ZyberVR's products are generally positioned as lower-cost alternatives to first-party accessories, and reviewers have tended to highlight their value. The Gadgeteer called the ACE Quest 3 Elite Strap "an easy recommendation" for a comfortable non-battery strap, noting it improved on Meta's standard strap while costing less than Meta's own Elite options.[10] A FullSync review of the Quest 2 Elite Head Strap praised its weight distribution and rear adjustment dial and called it reasonably priced against comparable straps.[9] Reviews of the modular controller sticks were more mixed: VR Voyaging found them well balanced and praised the company's customer service, while a Redbrick review rated them lower and pointed out the absence of trigger extenders.[7][8]

Several outlets noted that ZyberVR supplies free review samples but does not review or approve coverage before publication.[10] The brand's accessories have appeared in third-party "best Quest accessories" and "best PICO 4 accessories" roundups, reflecting its presence in the consumer VR accessory market.[6][2]
