Mudra Link is a wrist-worn gesture controller made by the Israeli company Wearable Devices Ltd. Three Surface Nerve Conductance (SNC) sensors on the inside of the band pick up electrical signals at the wrist that accompany finger movements, and an inertial measurement unit (accelerometer and gyroscope) senses motion; software turns these into pointer, D-pad and keyboard commands sent over Bluetooth.[1][2] The company markets it as a "neural" wristband. Unlike the company's earlier Mudra Band, a replacement strap for the Apple Watch, the Link is a standalone band that pairs with Android, Windows, macOS and iOS devices, smart TVs and smart glasses.[3][4]
Pre-orders opened in September 2024, and the band was a 2025 honoree in the CES Innovation Awards in the XR category.[3][5] Deliveries began in January 2025.[6] For AR use, the company showed the band controlling TCL's RayNeo X3 Pro glasses at CES 2025, and in December 2025 it announced a compatibility partnership with Rokid for the Rokid Glasses.[7][8] Press coverage has compared it with Meta's electromyography wristband research.[1][2]
Background
Wearable Devices Ltd., based in Yokneam Illit, Israel, and listed on Nasdaq under the symbol WLDS, began shipping its first consumer product, the Mudra Band, in December 2023. The Mudra Band is a replacement strap for the Apple Watch that lets the wearer control the watch and other Apple devices, such as the iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and iPad, with gestures.[3][6] In September 2024 the company announced the Mudra Link as a standalone wristband built on the same technology, extending gesture control to Android, Windows and macOS as well as iOS. Its press release named gaming, virtual and augmented reality, smart home control and productivity tools as target markets.[3] In March 2025 Laptop Mag reported the Mudra Band on sale at US$299.[9]
Announcement and release
Wearable Devices opened pre-orders on 9 September 2024 through its online store, offering pre-order customers a discount.[3] Fonearena reported the list price as US$299 and the pre-order price as US$199, with shipping expected in January 2025.[10]
At CES 2025 in Las Vegas the band was shown at the company's booth and with RayNeo's glasses. The Consumer Technology Association lists the Mudra Link as a 2025 Innovation Awards honoree in its "XR & Spatial Computing" category; the company's own filings call the category "XR Technologies & Accessories".[5][6] Tom's Guide and UploadVR, writing from the show, both gave the price as US$199.[2][1] On 22 January 2025 the company announced general availability, with shipments expected to start by the end of that month.[11] The company's later filings state that it began delivering the band to consumers in January 2025.[6] At Mobile World Congress in March 2025, Laptop Mag reported the Link on sale for US$199 and already shipping.[9]
In the first half of 2025 Wearable Devices reported revenue of US$294,000, covering the first sales of the Mudra Link, continuing Mudra Band sales and business-to-business work. During that period it also signed the Japanese e-commerce company Media Exceed as a non-exclusive reseller of both bands.[12] For the full year 2025 the company reported revenue of US$647 thousand, up 23.9% from 2024, and said combined sales of the Mudra Link and Mudra Band rose about 28.5%.[13] Revenue for the first half of 2026 was US$350 thousand, which the company attributed to continuing sales of the two bands.[14]

Design and hardware
The band has three SNC sensors and a six-degree-of-freedom IMU containing an accelerometer and a gyroscope.[4] Wearable Devices states that the SNC sensors capture electrical impulses from motor neurons, which AI algorithms translate into commands.[5] Tom's Guide described the sensors as picking up electromyography signals from small finger movements.[2] According to Laptop Mag, the sensors let the band follow movement of the whole hand, track each finger separately and sense pressure.[9]

The box contains the band, a charging cable and a user manual. The company says the band fits all adult wrist sizes and carries a one-year warranty.[4] To set it up, the wearer straps it on with its center mark on the inside of the wrist, pairs it with a device and selects the left or right hand.[9]
Software and features
The band presents itself to a host as a Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) mouse and keyboard, so it works with any device that accepts Bluetooth HID input. Initial setup needs the company's app on Windows 10 or 11 or macOS 14 or later; after that, the band works without software, and the app is only needed to change settings.[4] At launch the company listed seven hand gestures that users could assign to commands, fingertip pressure sensing, a live display of the neural signal, and a dual input mode that switches between D-pad and pointer control.[10] UploadVR's Don Hopper saw a gauge fill as he pressed his fingers together, which he contrasted with optical hand tracking systems that register only whether a pinch has happened.[1]
Wearable Devices released an update for Mac and Windows users in the first half of 2025, and its 2025 annual results describe a "Gesture Mapper" update that lets users assign their own input commands to specific gestures.[12][13] On 22 December 2025 the company announced preset control layouts for supported smart glasses, which map back, home, play/pause and volume to wrist gestures, and a version of the Mudra Link app that runs on the glasses themselves for pairing and setup. It said both would roll out to supported glasses from the first quarter of 2026.[15]
Use with XR devices
The official product page says the band has been "Verified to work with VR, AR, MR, XR" devices, and it names Xreal Beam Pro, the Viture neckband, Rokid Station 2 and the INMO Air3 among compatible XR glasses hardware.[4]
On 8 January 2025 Wearable Devices and RayNeo announced that they would show the RayNeo X3 Pro AR glasses, built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1, controlled by the Mudra wristband at CES 2025. The release described the glasses as bundled with the wristband and carrying a "Powered by Mudra Technology" label.[7] At the show, a company representative wore the X3 Pro to demonstrate menu control with the band.[1] Laptop Mag later wrote that the band is designed to work with smart glasses such as the TCL RayNeo while also pairing with phones and TVs.[9]
In December 2025 Wearable Devices and Rokid announced that the Mudra Link and Rokid Glasses had been made ready for each other, with out-of-the-box pairing, pre-mapped gestures and a shared setup flow. The companies planned joint marketing and consumer bundles, with an initial rollout targeted for the second quarter of 2026, and scheduled demonstrations at CES 2026.[8] In its 2025 annual results, Wearable Devices said it had positioned the Mudra Link as a native input option for smart glasses and had shown it at XR Fair Tokyo 2025.[13]
Journalists have placed the band alongside Meta's work on wrist input. UploadVR noted that Wearable Devices' description of SNC sensing sounds very similar to the surface electromyography of Meta's neural wristband; both read signals at the wrist to detect finger movement without optical hand tracking.[1] Tom's Guide pointed to the EMG wristband Meta was developing for its Orion glasses concept, and opened its hands-on by comparing the Mudra Link's gesture control, at US$199, with the gestures of the US$3,500 Apple Vision Pro.[2]
Developer platforms and Mudra Pro
In February 2026 Wearable Devices announced the upcoming Mudra Experience Studio, a developer platform with SDKs and a standard set of gestures (fingertip pressure levels, discrete gestures and continuous gestures) that it said would work the same way across Apple, Meta, Android XR and desktop platforms, and it opened a priority waitlist.[16] Its results for the first half of 2026 said it had released Mudra Studio, a software platform on which developers can use AI coding agents to build applications from hand motion, fingertip pressure, gestures and raw neural signal data.[14] By October 2026 the official store listed the Mudra Link at US$499 as part of a Mudra Studio evaluation kit, alongside a waitlist form for early access to the Mudra Studio platform.[4]
On 13 May 2026 the company announced the Mudra Pro, a wristband for developers, researchers, OEMs and enterprise teams. It combines electromyography, optical photoplethysmography and IMU sensors with an ARM Cortex-M33 processor and Bluetooth Low Energy, and the company describes its design as thinner and lighter.[17] The company's results for the first half of 2026 list the Mudra Link among its products, and the band remains on sale as of October 2026.[14][4]
Reception
In his CES 2025 hands-on for Tom's Guide, Mark Spoonauer wrote that most of his demos "worked smoothly", including stretching a face like a rubber band with a pinch gesture and slicing fruit in a fruit-slicing game, though playing a virtual violin was "a bit finicky". He judged US$199 "not cheap for an accessory to smart glasses" and suggested that glasses makers would need to offer cheaper bundles.[2]
UploadVR's Don Hopper found the pressure sensing the most interesting feature, but said the demo "wasn't perfect": Bluetooth interference on the show floor may have affected it, and the short session was not enough to judge real-world usefulness. Repeated gestures seemed to produce similar patterns on the signal display, and when a company representative moved his finger for him, no signal appeared.[1] Laptop Mag named the Mudra Link its best wearable debut at MWC 2025. Madeline Ricchiuto found the controls intuitive with minimal latency and wrote that, "if adequately supported," the technology could replace the mouse and keyboard.[9]
