Two Point Hospital - Mixed Reality Edition is an upcoming mixed reality adaptation of the 2018 hospital management game Two Point Hospital for Meta VR Glasses, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. It is developed by the VR studio Soul Assembly, which is listed as both creator and publisher on the game's Meta Horizon Store page, where the game appears under the shorter name Two Point Hospital - MR Edition.[1][2] Players build and run a hospital on a game board without controllers; Soul Assembly says the game uses hand and eye tracking.[2][3]
The game was announced at Meta Connect 2026 on 23 September 2026 among the new titles for Meta VR Glasses and Quest, and is scheduled for release in spring 2027.[4][3] As of 29 September 2026 it has not been released, and its store page lists it as coming soon.[1]
Gameplay
As in the original Two Point Hospital, the player designs and builds a hospital, treats patients and cures unusual diseases while trying to increase the flow of patients and money through the facility.[4][3] Meta's announcement says patients arrive with "ailments ranging from light-headedness to Cubism."[4] The store description adds managing "troublesome staff" and expanding the player's healthcare organisation across Two Point County.[1]
In the mixed reality version the hospital is built on a game board. According to Soul Assembly's trailer description, players use their hands and eyes to arrange corridors, rooms and waiting areas, expand the hospital to multiple buildings, and place decorative and functional items that raise the hospital's prestige, lower patient boredom and increase happiness.[2] The Meta Horizon Store lists the game's genres as Simulation, Sandbox and Tabletop.[1]
Controls
The game does not require controllers. Meta states that it has an interface "designed for seamless gameplay without requiring controllers" on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, and that it uses hand tracking on Meta VR Glasses.[4] The store description says players can "use the power of your eyes and hands to shape your hospitals", the trailer description refers to "the power of your hands and eyes", and UploadVR reported that the game uses eye tracking and hand tracking.[1][2][3] Meta's announcement mentions only hand tracking, and neither Meta nor Soul Assembly has said which devices support the eye tracking features.[4] Soul Assembly says the game "will include new technology allowing players to utilise hand and eye tracking."[2]
Development
Two Point Hospital was developed by Two Point Studios and published by Sega; its Steam release date is 29 August 2018.[5] UploadVR described the original as a hospital management simulation in which the player turns a run-down medical facility into a thriving hospital, and running it grows more complex as it expands, with staff training, new facilities and increasingly unusual patient ailments.[3]
The Mixed Reality Edition is made by Soul Assembly, a studio dedicated to VR and AR titles that was announced in May 2022. According to UploadVR, it spun out of the team that made Warhammer 40K: Battle Sister and is separate from Pixel Toys, the developer of that game and the VR zombie shooter Drop Dead. At the time of the announcement, David Solari was named as the studio's founder, with David Osbourn and Tony Williams also among its leaders.[6] Its announcement trailer was published on the studio's YouTube channel on 24 September 2026.[2]
Release
Meta presented the game during its Meta Connect 2026 games announcements on 23 September 2026.[4] Engadget reported in its Connect round-up that Two Point Hospital "is on the way to Meta Quest 3 and 3S with hand-tracking support", and heise online described it as a VR port of the hospital simulation.[7][8] MIXED listed it among the games playable without controllers on Meta VR Glasses.[9] No price has been announced.
