Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof VR is a western-themed VR shooter developed and published by MIROWIN. It runs on Windows through Steam, which lists support for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, Windows Mixed Reality and PlayStation VR headsets.[1] It entered Early Access in August 2017[2] and Steam lists its full release as 8 March 2018.[1][3] A PlayStation 4 version for PlayStation VR was released on 7 December 2018.[4] A free demo called Preface, covered on the wiki as Guns'n'Stories: Preface VR, is available.[5]

Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked title, developer, publisher, release dates, headsets, gameplay and review statements against Steam, SteamSpy, RAWG, PlayStation Store and UploadVR. About review dates.

Overview

The game is a single-player campaign built around an old gunslinger who tells stories of his youth.[5] Players dual-wield pistols or tommy guns against groups of bandits.[5] According to the Steam listing, the weapons also include throwing weapons and futuristic arms, and the combat encourages active movement and the use of cover. The campaign has a storyline with boss fights, comic enemies, several locations and multiple difficulty levels.[1]

The Steam page says tracked controllers are required and that the game is available in arcades through SpringboardVR.[1]

Reception

Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026, with 87% of 387 reviews positive.[1] UploadVR noted in February 2020 that the game had been out for two years and that players should not expect a cutting-edge experience.[5]
