Guns'n'Stories: Preface VR is a free-to-play Action shooter for PC VR headsets, developed and published by MIROWIN. It was released on Steam on 26 October 2017 and is listed as a preface to the studio's full game, Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof VR.[1][2] The Steam listing marks it as VR only with tracked controller support and names HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets as compatible.[1]
Overview
The game is a single-player cowboy shooter with a steampunk setting and a comedic tone. The player explores the memories of a grandfather who was once a bounty hunter, and the stories grow more exaggerated the longer he tells them. The player fights groups of enemies in the town of Sintown.[1]
Steam lists the game as a single-player title with tracked controller support. The Steam page describes firearm practice with a score check and says the plot can end in failure at any point.[1] An UploadVR article from 2020 described the full game as one in which the player dual-wields pistols or tommy guns against bandit hordes, and said the free preface could be downloaded to try the game beforehand.[2]
