Dream Glass Lead Plus is an augmented reality head-mounted display released in 2022. It is the lower-priced model of the Dream Glass Lead line from DreamWorld (Dreamworld USA Inc.), sold alongside the Dream Glass Lead Pro.[1] DreamWorld describes it as a standalone "All-in-One AR Glass" with its own CPU, storage and operating system, called Dream OS.[1] The headset is worn with a rear battery pack, and the company describes it as providing a 200-inch display with a 90-degree field of view.[1]

The model name varies across DreamWorld's own materials. The online store listed the two variants as "Dream Glass Lead" and "Dream Glass Lead Pro", while the specification table on the same product page is headed "Dream Glass Lead Plus" and "Dream Glass Lead Pro".[1][2] The product FAQ gives the weight of the "Dream Glass Lead" as 11.3 oz, which corresponds to the 320 g listed for the Lead Plus.[3][2]

Reviewed 27 September 2026. Re-checked every spec, price, naming and FAQ claim against the archived DreamWorld store pages (Oct 2022, Dec 2024, Oct 2025), the official spec-sheet image, the archived Indiegogo campaign data (perks, totals, stage) and the Electronics360/TechInsights teardown. About review dates.

Announcement and release

DreamWorld launched the Lead line on Indiegogo with a campaign titled DreamGlass Lead: World's 1st 200" 4K All-in-One AR, which opened on 17 August 2021 with a funding goal of US$5,000.[4] The campaign sold the base model as "Dream Glass Lead". Its "SuperEarlyBird" reward offered one unit for US$429 against a stated MSRP of US$809, with estimated delivery in December 2021; a two-unit reward was priced at US$858.[4] A snapshot from 22 October 2021 shows a campaign close date of 4 October 2021 and US$281,654 raised from 374 contributions, with the product stage still marked "prototype".[5] By October 2023 the page listed the product stage as "shipping" and a total of US$287,366 from 381 contributions.[6]

In DreamWorld's online store in October 2022, the Dream Glass Lead variant had a sale price of US$799 against a regular price of US$999, and the Lead Pro variant was US$1,199.[1] The store also sold a US$400 "Set of Dream Glass Lead upgrade to Pro".[7] Archived copies of the product page from December 2024 and October 2025 still listed the Dream Glass Lead at US$799 and the Lead Pro at US$1,199, with a US office address in Orlando, Florida.[3][8] By December 2024 the store also carried a separate model, the Dream Glass Lead SE, at a sale price of US$429.[9]

Design and hardware

Display and optics

DreamWorld's specification sheet gives the display resolution as "4K, 1920*1080*2 Two Eyes Combined", that is 1920x1080 for each eye, and the field of view as 90 degrees.[2] The headset plays 2D, 3D and 360-degree video.[2] The company says the optics leave enough eye relief for users to keep wearing prescription glasses, that content is projected "at meters away", and that more than 10 layers of optical coatings are used to reduce blue light and glare. The product page says the company's CEO, Kevin, who holds a PhD in vision science from the Indiana University School of Optometry, designed the optical lens; the FAQ on the same page names the CEO as Zhangyi Zhong.[1] DreamWorld sold a replacement "AR Lens" for US$49 that it listed as compatible with the Lead Plus, Lead Pro, Dream Glass 4K, Dream Glass 4K Plus and Dream Glass Air.[10]

Processor, memory and storage

The Lead Plus runs on an octa-core Kryo CPU (two cores at 2.52 GHz and six at 1.7 GHz) with an Adreno 615 GPU. DreamWorld lists 3 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 32 GB of storage for the Lead Plus, against 4 GB and 64 GB for the Lead Pro.[2] The manufacturer's sheet does not name the chip. A January 2023 teardown by TechInsights, published by Electronics360, examined a unit identified as the Dream Glass Lead Pro and found a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 processor with a Samsung multichip memory package holding 3 GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM and 32 GB of MLC NAND flash. Those memory and storage figures match what DreamWorld lists for the Lead Plus rather than the Lead Pro.[11][2] The same teardown found a TDK-InvenSense six-axis gyroscope and accelerometer and an AKM three-axis electronic compass on the main board.[11]

Tracking, input and connectivity

The Lead Plus has 3DoF head tracking, with an optional 6DoF tracking set, and ships with a wireless 3DoF controller.[2] Unlike the Lead Pro, which has a 13-megapixel RGB camera, the Lead Plus has no camera listed in the specification sheet.[2] Audio comes from built-in speakers, a 3.5 mm audio jack or Bluetooth, and there is a built-in microphone. Wireless connectivity is dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.0.[2] The company's FAQ says both Lead models use USB-C connectors.[3]

Battery and weight

The battery sits at the back of the head. DreamWorld lists a 5300 mAh lithium battery and about 3.5 hours of use.[2] The Lead Plus weighs 320 g, split between a 170 g front unit and a 150 g battery unit, which the company describes as a front-to-back weight ratio of "almost one to one".[2][1]

Software and features

Dream OS is the headset's own 3D operating system.[1] DreamWorld's specification sheet lists a Unity SDK for both Lead models.[2] The FAQ, however, describes 6DoF tracking and the Unity SDK as features that distinguish the Lead Pro from the regular Lead, and says the Pro also has "a more powerful processor", even though the specification sheet lists the same CPU and GPU for both.[3][2]

According to the product page, the headset can receive wireless casts from Android devices, iPads, iPhones, Macs and PCs, and it supports apps such as YouTube, Netflix, TikTok and Facebook, the fitness apps Peloton and Keep, and the meeting apps Zoom, Skype and Messenger. The company also markets loading 3D models such as STL files for design review, recommending the Lead Pro for that task.[1] For games, the page describes using the wireless 6DoF tracking set with the Lead Pro and says Steam games such as Beat Saber are supported.[1]
