The Invisible Hours is a narrative mystery game for VR developed by Tequila Works and published by Game Trust. Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked title, developer, publisher, release date, platforms and system requirements against the Steam listing, and added statements against the UploadVR review, OpenCritic and Steam user-review data. About review dates.

Overview

The story is set in the isolated mansion laboratory of the inventor Nikola Tesla. A group of guests has been invited there, and Tesla is found murdered when the last of them arrives. The Steam listing names a Swedish detective among the guests, along with a blind butler, a convicted murderer, an actress, Tesla's former assistant, a railroad magnate's son and the rival inventor Thomas Edison.[1]

The player can follow any character through the house or explore rooms on their own to look for items and clues. UploadVR's reviewer described controls for rewinding, fast-forwarding and pausing the timeline.[2] Steam lists the game as single-player with tracked controller support.[1]

Reception

UploadVR's review called the game's writing and characters its main strength, and also criticized moments where characters stand idle waiting for their next interaction, as well as moments where nearby scenes had mismatched audio levels.[2] OpenCritic lists a top critic average of 75 from 14 reviews.[3] Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026.[4]
