The FOO Show featuring Will Smith is a free interactive talk show for SteamVR-compatible virtual reality headsets such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift CV1, developed and published by FOO VR, Inc. It was released on Steam on 5 April 2016 and carries the Early Access label.[1] The host, Will Smith, is a former technology journalist and not the actor of the same name.[2]

Overview

The program is a talk show set inside 3D environments. Smith interviews video game developers while standing inside the games they made, and viewers can walk around that world and interact with it. The Steam page describes the first episode as featuring Firewatch, with a fire watchtower that players can explore in room-scale or standing VR.[1] Press coverage of the pilot said it included interviews with developers from Firewatch's studio, Campo Santo.[2]

The show can be viewed through a VR headset or through a 2D viewer.[2] The Steam listing shows single-player support, tracked controller support and full controller support, and lists additional episodes as separate downloadable content.[1] FOO VR ran a Kickstarter campaign to fund a first season of five episodes. It sought US$50,000 and, according to GamesBeat, with about an hour left more than 2,200 people had pledged US$66,000.[2]

Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026.[1]
