TITAN SLAYER is a first-person action VR game for Windows developed and published by COLOPL, Inc. It supports the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift through SteamVR and the Oculus PC platform, and its Steam listing marks it as VR only with tracked controller support.[1] The Steam listing gives a release date of 27 April 2017,[1] while the Japanese business site Gamebiz reported the launch on 28 April 2017.[2] A sequel, TITAN SLAYER II, entered Steam Early Access on 6 November 2018.[3]

Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked the Steam listing (app 528260), the Steam review summary and three Gamebiz articles against the lead, Overview and Reception text. About review dates.

Overview

The player fights giant monsters in a first-person view using swords, bows and guns, and can switch between weapons during a fight.[2][1] Attacks from the enemies are avoided by physically moving the body up, down, left and right.[2] According to the Steam store page, points are awarded for actions such as dodging an attack at the last moment or landing a head shot, and scores are compared on online leaderboards.[1]

At launch the game was priced at 1,280 yen in Japan, with a promotional price of 896 yen until 5 May 2017.[2] Gamebiz also reported that it was made playable at six Jiqoo game cafe locations in Japan from 28 April 2017,[2] and Taito installed it at its Taito Station BIGBOX Takadanobaba arcade in Tokyo in June 2017, at 600 yen per play.[4]

Reception

Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026, with 68 of 84 reviews positive.[5]
