Starway Fleet is a space combat simulator for Windows in which the player flies a fighter craft in single-player or cooperative missions. It was developed and published by StormCube Games and released on Steam on 29 August 2017.[1] The game can be played on a monitor or, as an optional mode, with a SteamVR headset such as the HTC Vive.[1] The Steam page still listed the game as available in October 2026.[1]
Overview
The player takes the role of a fighter pilot assigned to a fleet. Missions listed on the Steam page include interception, reconnaissance, escorting cargo ships and rescuing the crews of disabled ships.[1] The game has three modes: quick missions (10 are included), custom battles (2 maps) and survival (2 maps). Each can be played alone against computer-controlled enemies or online in co-op with up to three players in total.[1] The Steam page also says the battles include capital ships.[1]
In VR mode the player views the fight from inside the fighter's cockpit.[1] Steam lists HOTAS joysticks, keyboard and mouse, and gamepads as supported controls, and states that VR mode requires a keyboard or gamepad.[1] The store page names Elite Dangerous, STAR WARS X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, EVERSPACE, Descent and Strike Vector as the games that inspired it.[1]
Reception
As of October 2026, 78 of the 113 Steam user reviews across all languages were positive, and Steam rated the reviews as "Mixed".[2]
