Omega Agent is a jetpack flight and combat game for virtual reality, developed and published by Fireproof Games. The Steam version, a VR-only SteamVR title for Windows, was released on May 4, 2016.^[1] The developer lists the game as available for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR.^[2] Pocket Gamer described Fireproof Games as the makers of The Room.^[3]

Overview

The player flies a prototype nuclear-powered jetpack around an open-world city on a remote island that serves as a spy training facility, with the aim of graduating as the "Omega Agent". The developer describes 40 missions, ranging from speed and maneuverability tests to armed combat, and the jetpack carries weapons including a shotgun, a machine gun and heat-seeking missiles.^[2]

At EGX 2014 the game was shown running through an Oculus Rift, because Fireproof was not allowed to bring Samsung development kits to the event; Pocket Gamer's preview, played with a gamepad, described flying through rings and shooting spinning targets with a jetpack-mounted shotgun.^[3] The Steam listing marks the game as VR only, with a gamepad required and SteamVR support.^[1]

Steam user reviews were rated "Mostly Positive" as of October 2026, with 41 of 55 reviews positive.^[4]
