O3DX (short for Offroad 3D eXtreme) is an off-road driving and physics obstacle game by Egamea, listed on Oculus Share as a tech demo for the Oculus Rift (Platform).[1] The Oculus Share listing named Egamea Pty Ltd as the developer and described the title as an initial launch on iOS and Android with a tech demo on Oculus, with Steam and other platforms to follow.[1] A standard PC and Mac version was later released on Steam on January 22, 2016, published by Egamea Game Studios; its Steam listing does not list VR support.[2]

Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked the archived Oculus Share listing, the Steam store page and review summary, and the itch.io page against each added statement and the infobox values. About review dates.

Overview

The player drives one of several 4x4 vehicles through obstacle courses. The Steam page describes it as a side-scroller-style racing and physics game in which the action takes place in 3D space with a cinematic camera, and says the game is not free roam.[2] The developer's itch.io page states that steering is automated, so the player concentrates on speed, jumps and puzzles, and that the camera angles are placed by a spline-based camera system rather than controlled by the player.[3] Each level can also be played against the clock, with stars to collect for bonus content, and the itch.io page gives the number of vehicles as ten.[3]

The Steam listing mentions controller support for an Xbox 360 gamepad and describes the game as single-player with Steam Achievements and trading cards.[2] The Steam page also says purchasers of an earlier Early Access build received the full release.[2]

Reception

As of October 2026, 36 of the 64 Steam user reviews were positive, and Steam rated them Mixed.[4]
