EyeSight refers to different technologies associated with virtual and augmented reality:
- EyeSight (Apple), the outward-facing display feature on Apple Vision Pro that communicates the wearer's eyes and level of immersion to people nearby.[1]
- EyeSight from Pristine/Upskill, Pristine's video remote-collaboration application, discussed in the section below.[2]
Upskill remote collaboration
In a June 2017 interview, Upskill chief strategy officer Jay Kim described Pristine's EyeSight as a cloud-delivered video remote-collaboration service supporting multiple smart glasses. A worker could transmit video to a remote expert, who could view the equipment from a browser or mobile device and provide assistance. Kim discussed the service in the context of Upskill's acquisition of Pristine and field-service applications.[2] Upskill's July 2017 company announcement listed EyeSight among the applications associated with its Skylight industrial AR platform.[3]
