Egg Time is a free-to-play, physics-based VR game about catching eggs. It was developed and published by Bartoš Studio and released on Steam on 19 September 2016 for Windows. The game supports SteamVR and the HTC Vive in standing or room-scale play.[1][2] A sequel, EggTime 2, followed on Steam on 7 May 2018.[3]
Overview
Egg Time is a catching game that uses basic physics. The player catches eggs and defuses bombs, and a slow-motion ability called "egg time", described as a variation of bullet time, helps with eggs that are hard to catch.[1] The developer's site says some eggs carry special effects, such as slowing time or changing the size of the basket, and that the stages contain extra objectives.[2]
Steam lists the game as VR only, single-player, with tracked controller support and standing or room-scale play. Its requirements list an HTC Vive headset, while the developer's site names the HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality as supported headsets.[1][2]
Reception
As of October 2026, Steam user reviews were rated "Very Positive", with 63 of 71 reviews (88%) positive.[1]
