Deisim is a VR App and sandbox god game in which the player builds a world tile by tile and guides a population of autonomous humans. It is developed and published by Myron Games, listed under the name Myron Software when it first appeared on Steam, and runs on SteamVR headsets with tracked controllers.[1][2] It entered Early Access on Steam on 19 December 2016 and left it with a full release on 1 September 2022.[1] The game is also sold for Meta Quest, where it moved from App Lab to the Quest Store on 1 September 2022.[3]

Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked title, developer, publisher, release dates, platforms and review summary against the current and 2016 archived Steam pages, the Steam reviews API and UploadVR About review dates.

Overview

The player acts as an omnipotent deity. The Steam listing describes building the world tile by tile, performing miracles, and helping the autonomous human inhabitants progress from the stone age to the modern age and beyond. It also lists heresy as a mechanic the player has to deal with.[1] UploadVR describes the player ruling over the subjects from above and supplying new materials and land tiles, with settlements advancing from the stone age up to the industrial revolution.[3]

The Steam page lists the game as single-player with tracked controller support, and its requirements name SteamVR as the VR runtime.[1] The December 2016 Early Access listing presented the game as VR only, with the player shaping the world by casting spells onto the ground and deciding whether the humans receive the resources they need.[2]

Reception

The Steam store page quotes a Game Rant review that calls it an "absolute sandbox game".[1] Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026, with 863 of 922 reviews positive.[4]
