Conductor is a single-player puzzle and action-adventure VR game developed and published by Overflow for Windows. It was released on Steam on May 2, 2017, with support for SteamVR tracked controllers in standing or room-scale play.[1] The game is set in a post-industrial world where the player is pursued by a company called Overcorp.[1]
Overview
The player takes control of a locomotive and travels between stations, solving puzzles at each stop. A gravity cannon is used to move objects in the environment, and the player also has to defend against Overcorp's forces.[1] The Steam listing gives the game length as 1.5 to 2.5 hours and the locomotion method as teleportation.[1]
In its review, UploadVR described the game as built around roughly six escape room style puzzles over about 90 minutes, with a gravity gun for moving heavy objects and light combat against flying drones.[2]
Reception
UploadVR's review by Jamie Feltham, published on May 3, 2017, was positive. It praised the world-building and the atmosphere created with minimal textures, and it criticised the limited invention of the puzzles and an abrupt ending.[2] Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive as of October 2026, with 281 of 302 reviews positive.[3]
