Bomb U! is a competitive action game for SteamVR in which two players try to knock each other off destructible platforms. It was developed by MNGOVR and published by PITAYA NETWORK LIMITED, and was released on Steam on 17 September 2016 for Windows.[1] Road to VR described it as an HTC Vive game available through Steam Early Access in September 2016.[2] The game is a VR App that supports Single Player and Online Multiplayer modes.[1]

Reviewed 9 October 2026. Checked the title, developer, publisher, release date, VR support, game modes and Steam review counts against the Steam store and API, and the gameplay and Early Access statements against Road to VR and Mogura VR. About review dates.

Overview

Each player stands on a platform floating above a colorful landscape and picks up items in the physical play space. Bombs are thrown to destroy the floor under the opponent, and a thrown bomb can be caught and sent back before it explodes.[2] Mogura VR describes the use of motion controllers to throw the bombs.[3] Road to VR and Mogura VR both compared the premise to Hudson's Bomberman series.[2][3] Other items include hammers and pistols, according to the Steam listing.[1]

The Steam listing says Bomb U! supports standing and room-scale play and lists a single-player mode with three levels, alongside online player-versus-player matches.[1] Road to VR reported that single-player matches are played against an AI opponent.[2]

Reception

Road to VR called the game a fun PvP title with bright, Japanese-style visuals.[2] Steam user reviews were rated Very Positive (47 of 55 reviews positive) as of October 2026.[1]
