The Varjo Aero is a professional-grade PC VR head-mounted display developed by Varjo, a Finnish company specializing in high-end XR hardware. Released in 2021 at $1,990 (subsequently discontinued in favor of the XR-4 series), the Aero brought Varjo's professional-grade visual fidelity to a broader audience with 2880 x 2720 resolution per eye on Mini LED LCD panels achieving 35 pixels per degree peak fidelity. The headset features variable resolution aspheric lenses for edge-to-edge clarity, 200 Hz eye tracking for automatic IPD adjustment and foveated rendering, 115-degree field of view, and calibrated color accuracy covering 99% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3. The Aero requires SteamVR base stations for tracking.[1]
