The URXR One is a pair of lightweight spatial display AR Glasses developed by Unseen Reality. It connects to a host device over USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode and provides on-device 6DoF tracking, hand-gesture control, and video see-through passthrough in a 93-gram frame.[1] Unlike most display glasses in its class, which are limited to 3DoF rotational tracking, the URXR One performs both 3DoF and 6DoF tracking on the glasses themselves without an external compute puck, base stations, or add-on accessory.[1] It is priced at US$899 (US$799 through its Kickstarter campaign) and is expected to ship in Fall 2026.[1]

Design and Hardware

Optics and Display

The URXR One uses dual 1.03-inch Micro-OLED panels with pancake optics, providing a native resolution of 2,448 × 2,064 pixels per eye across a 90° field of view at a 90 Hz refresh rate.[1] The manufacturer does not publish an official pixels-per-degree (PPD) figure; derived from resolution and field of view, the figure is approximately 36 PPD.[1]

Display Specifications
Feature Specification
Display Type 1.03-inch dual Micro-OLED[1]
Resolution 2,448 × 2,064 per eye[1]
Field of View 90°[1]
Refresh Rate 90 Hz[1]
Pixel Density ~36 PPD (estimated; no official figure)[1]
Optics Pancake[1]

Passthrough

The URXR One uses video see-through (VST) rather than the optical see-through or electrochromic dimming used by most display glasses in its class. Outward-facing cameras feed a live view of the surroundings into the displays at 2,328 × 1,728 per eye at 90 fps, with end-to-end latency under 10 ms. The processing runs on the glasses' own chip.[1] The displays can also be turned off entirely for a clear view through the lenses.[1]

Tracking

Both 3DoF and 6DoF tracking run natively on the glasses' chip with no host software required, and the user switches between them with a physical button.[1] 3DoF tracks head rotation from the IMU, while 6DoF adds positional tracking via dual-eye SLAM combined with a 1,000 Hz IMU, with reported drift under 1 cm.[1] Hand-gesture control is supported as a standard input method.[1]

Ergonomics and Build

The URXR One weighs 93 grams. It has no internal battery and no built-in speakers, drawing power from the connected host device and relying on Bluetooth headphones for audio.[1]

Software and Compatibility

The URXR One operates in two modes.[1] Direct mode is plug-and-play and mirrors a single large screen from any device with a USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode video output. Companion mode, which places multiple anchored virtual monitors in space, requires the URXR Connect application, available for Windows and macOS at launch. Driving the glasses from a phone requires the Power Bank accessory (US$69).[1]

Availability and Pricing

The URXR One is priced at US$899 at retail, with a US$799 tier through its Kickstarter campaign. Shipping is expected in Fall 2026.[1]
