QWR VRone Pro (styled VRone.Pro) is a standalone virtual reality head-mounted display developed and manufactured by QWR (Question What's Real), an Indian extended reality hardware company. Unveiled in late August 2025, it is marketed as a domestically built, enterprise-grade headset aimed at workforce training, industrial skilling, and simulation rather than consumer entertainment.[1][2]
The device launched at a price of INR 34,999, positioning it as a lower-cost alternative to imported XR hardware for institutional buyers in India.[2] It is a successor in the company's VRone line and is offered alongside QWR's education-focused and tethered models.[3]
History and development
QWR (Question What's Real) is an Indian deep-tech XR hardware startup whose founder is Suraj Aiar.[2][4] Before the VRone Pro, the company had focused on classroom virtual reality through its VRone Edu program, which it says brought VR-based learning to more than 200,000 students across 19 Indian states with modules aligned to the national NCERT curriculum.[4] In April 2025, QWR announced a collaboration with Chinese headset maker DPVR under which the VRone Edu solution paired DPVR's standalone education headset with QWR's immersive learning content for schools and universities.[5]
The VRone Pro was introduced in late August 2025 as an in-house enterprise headset, with sources reporting the unveiling on August 26 and 27.[2][1] Founder Suraj Aiar framed the launch in the context of supply-chain disruption, stating: "With rising global tariffs and the USA trade policies, the global XR hardware supply chain is undergoing a volatile, post-China reset."[2] QWR described the headset as deliberately stripped of features it considered unnecessary for training use. Aiar said the product was "built on clear market insights rather than industry trends. By avoiding unnecessary sensors and mixed reality features, we've focused on delivering a streamlined, purpose-built headset."[2]
Hardware
The VRone Pro is a standalone headset with six degrees of freedom (6DoF) and inside-out tracking. It is built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 platform, which uses an octa-core Kryo 585 CPU and an Adreno 650 GPU, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.[1] Its dual LCD panels render 1,600 x 1,600 pixels per eye at a stated pixel density of 1,058 PPI and a 90Hz refresh rate, viewed through pancake lenses with a 105 degree field of view.[1][3]
The headset weighs 350 grams without its head strap and carries a 5,300 mAh battery intended for extended training sessions.[1] Audio is handled by integrated stereo speakers, and a microphone is built in.[1] Input is provided by two ergonomic 6DoF controllers as well as proprietary camera-based hand tracking that allows controller-free interaction.[1][2]

Positioning and market
QWR positions the VRone Pro as a "Made in India" headset for enterprise and institutional training, emphasizing domestic design and manufacturing as a "China Plus One" alternative for buyers wary of imported hardware.[3][2] The company has said it aims to deploy the device across more than 14,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), polytechnics, and vocational certification programs in India, targeting use cases such as industrial maintenance, healthcare and surgical simulation, and skill development.[1][3]
The company markets an open deployment model without ecosystem lock-in and supports the headset through a nationwide service network, offering a one-year manufacturer warranty with options for extended coverage and annual maintenance contracts.[2][1] The VRone Pro sits within QWR's broader VRone family, which also includes the education-oriented VRone Edu and a tethered VRone PC model for higher-fidelity simulation.[3][1]
