HALP! is a free single-player sandbox puzzle game for Virtual reality, developed and published by Fun Bits (also credited as Fun Bits Interactive). It was released on Steam for Windows on August 1, 2016.[1] The Steam listing names tracked motion controllers as the intended input and also lists headset-and-gamepad play.[1] UploadVR's launch coverage mentioned HTC Vive support.[2]
Overview
The player helps the captain of a space pirate crew, a robot, whose ship has crashed on an alien planet. The nominal goal is to get the ship working again before hostile worm creatures show up, but the repair is optional: the ship can instead be treated as a sandbox, with gadgets to operate and objects to handle, such as putting out fires or tossing balls into hoops.[1][2]
UploadVR described the game as lasting roughly 7 to 10 minutes, and reported that the developer's CEO, Chris Millar, called it an experiment meant to prompt discussion about what works in VR development.[2]
Reception
Steam user reviews were rated "Mostly Positive" as of October 2026, based on 110 reviews.[1]
