Overview

The player takes the role of an employee of the film's fictional company who is trapped in an office. To escape, the player solves puzzles before a microchip in the character's head explodes.[1][2] The game is single-player and VR only, uses tracked controllers, and supports standing or room-scale play.[2]

Inverse described the experience as a roughly 15-minute escape room in which players interact with the environment, use a control panel, and receive hints from an AI co-worker based on their progress. Movement is by teleportation.[3] Its 3 March 2017 release was timed to National Employee Appreciation Day and to the film's theatrical release later that month.[1] Steam lists it as free to play and carries a content warning for some nudity or sexual content and frequent violence or gore.[2]
