The Vuzix Shield is an enterprise-grade augmented reality smart safety glasses developed by Vuzix. Released in April 2024, the Vuzix Shield is the world's first binocular waveguide smart glasses designed for industrial use. The glasses feature advanced Micro-LED projectors with waveguide optics, dual 13-megapixel stereo cameras with 4K video recording, an 8-core Qualcomm processor, and ANSI Z87.1 safety certification. The Shield enables hands-free remote assistance, AI workflow optimization, and barcode scanning for field service, manufacturing, and healthcare applications.[1]
