The Pico Neo 3 Link is a standalone VR and PC VR head-mounted display developed by PICO (a ByteDance subsidiary), released in April 2022 in Europe at €449. PICO's first consumer-focused VR headset following ByteDance's 2021 acquisition, the Neo 3 Link features the Snapdragon XR2 processor with 2x the performance of its predecessor, 4K LCD display with 1832x1920 resolution per eye, 90/120 Hz refresh rate, and a unique 5-meter fiber optic DisplayPort cable for uncompressed PC VR streaming. The Neo 3 Link served as a bridge between PICO's enterprise-focused Neo 2 and the consumer-oriented Pico 4.

History and Development

PICO announced the Neo 3 Link in April 2022 as the company's first B2C (business-to-consumer) VR headset following ByteDance's acquisition of PICO Interactive in 2021. The headset launched in European markets (Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands) at €449, competing directly with the Meta Quest 2. The Neo 3 Link was succeeded by the Pico 4 later in 2022.[1]
