The Meta Quest Pro is a mixed reality head-mounted display developed by Reality Labs (Meta), announced October 11, 2022 and released October 25, 2022 at $1,499. Meta's first high-end standalone headset featuring Snapdragon XR2+ processor, LCD quantum dot displays with pancake optics, full-color stereoscopic passthrough (4x Quest 2 resolution), integrated eye and face tracking, self-tracking Touch Pro controllers, and professional-focused design. Discontinued September 2024.

History and Development

Meta unveiled the Quest Pro (codenamed "Project Cambria") at Meta Connect on October 11, 2022, releasing October 25, 2022 at $1,499. Targeting business users and prosumers, the Quest Pro introduced Meta's first mixed reality-focused headset with high-resolution passthrough, eye/face tracking for avatars, and self-tracking controllers. The price dropped to $999 in March 2023. Meta discontinued the Quest Pro in September 2024, ending sales January 2025, as the Quest 3 offered superior value.[1]
