The ODG R-9 is a pair of augmented reality smart glasses developed by ODG (Osterhout Design Group). Announced at CES 2017, the R-9 was among the first devices to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, offering dual 1080p transparent OLED displays with a 50-degree field of view. The glasses were certified by THX for "true cinematic quality" and could record 4K video at 60 fps. ODG ceased operations in 2019.[1]

CES 2017 Announcement
ODG unveiled the R-9 at CES 2017 alongside the consumer-focused R-8, marking the first use of the Snapdragon 835 processor outside of smartphones.
First Snapdragon 835 AR Device
The R-9 and R-8 were the first products to feature the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor that weren't mobile phones.[2]
Company Closure
ODG ceased operations in 2019, ending development of the R-9 and related products.
