Facebook is a social networking service founded by Mark Zuckerberg and based in Menlo Park, California. It acquired Oculus VR, the developer of Oculus Rift, for 2 billion dollars on March 25, 2014. The deal includes 400 million dollars in cash and 23.1 million shares of Facebook stock, valued at 1.6 billion dollars. An additional 300 million dollars are allocated when Facebook reach certain goals.
