An augmented reality headset is a type of head-worn gadget that enables the wearer to have an augmented reality experience, which is virtual objects in the real world environment.

Examples of AR headsets are the Microsoft Hololens, the Magic Leap 1, and Project North Star.

An AR headset in a glasses form factor is called AR glasses.
