General
SideQuest is an app store that enables you to download and experiment with apps that are not approved for the Oculus Store. Marketed for Oculus Quest devices, SideQuest also contains apps that support the Go and WebXR platforms.[1] You can sideload content as well as utilize App Lab to play games from SideQuest through your Oculus devices.[2]
SideQuest launched in May 2019, shortly after the Oculus Quest was released.[3]
Features
Like other app stores, you must still submit your app for approval to the SideQuest store. However, SideQuest claims approval only takes a maximum of 2 days.
SideQuest distributes your game once approved, enables you to hand out tokens for beta testing so that you can revoke access at your choosing, and allows you to promote your game on its website.[4]
